Doug is a Legal software consultant and developer with a strong focus on Product and Marketing Management. Doug started GDSI in 2014 to assist law firms and legal software companies build solutions solving challenges in the Legal market. With 30 years of legal software experience, Doug has specialized in Document and Records Management, Case Management, and Automation.

Doug holds his Masters in Business from Nova Southeastern University and his Bachelor of Science from Western New England University.

Working for both technology vendors as well as consulting, he has consulted with top-tier legal customers, including Am Law 100 firms on solving their business needs with technology. His extensive expertise covers areas such as project management, custom technical solutions, system architecture, implementation, migration, and troubleshooting complex systems, making him a trusted advisor and skilled innovator in the Document Management space.

John Callahan serves as GDSI’s Strategic Growth Officer, leading global expansion and strengthening partnerships with professional service firms to maximize the value of GDSI’s purpose-built software solutions.

With more than 25 years of experience in legal technology, John has held senior roles in sales, marketing, and general management at companies including Aderant, Elite, Intapp, HerculesAI, and XPENS.ai.

John began his career as a custom software designer and engineer, collaborating with professional service firms to develop technology that drives measurable business value. His passion for collaboration and innovation guided his move into commercial leadership, where he has built lasting relationships with firm leaders around the world.

He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Engineering from the University of Michigan and completed Executive Education ManageMentor Programs at Harvard Business School.

Karen Sopron

Karen Sopron is the Chief Marketing Officer at GDSI, where she leads brand, communications, and go-to-market strategy. With more than 15 years of marketing experience, she brings a versatile and hands-on approach to driving growth for technology companies in complex, B2B industries.

Karen has worked with companies across legal technology, cybersecurity, and multifamily real estate to develop integrated strategies that connect brand, content, and customer experience. Her work blends strategic oversight with executional precision—helping companies strengthen their positioning, modernize their digital presence, and accelerate demand.

She held senior marketing roles at Litera and ZERO Systems (Hercules.ai), leading initiatives spanning content marketing, events, and customer engagement. She is known for her ability to translate business goals into clear narratives that elevate visibility, build trust, and deliver measurable results.

Edward Pattison

Edward Pattison brings more than 18 years of specialized experience in Document Management systems, with deep expertise across Worldox and NetDocuments. A seasoned software developer, he has built his career around building secure, reliable, and high-impact solutions that help legal teams work more efficiently.
At GDSI, Edward leads the U.S. development team and serves as a key escalation point for clients’ development engagements. His work centers on solving complex technical challenges and ensuring the delivery of purpose-built software that aligns with each firm’s requirements.
Before joining GDSI, Edward spent more than a decade overseeing all third-party integration efforts and maintaining the GX4 platform at Worldox He later expanded his experience at NetDocuments, supporting and enhancing mission-critical systems relied upon by firms nationwide. Across both roles, he worked closely with law firms, often stepping in as an escalation resource for advanced or time-sensitive issues.
Edward holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from SUNY New Paltz.

As a Director of a North America Project Management Office and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), she has led complex initiatives for top-tier legal organizations, including Am Law 100 firms.

Her expertise spans project and program management, PMO leadership, operational strategy, resource and financial management, large-scale technology implementations and migrations, and client delivery.

Combining deep industry knowledge with a strong operational and strategic mindset, Stephanie is a trusted leader focused on building high-performing teams, driving successful outcomes, and delivering complex solutions that meet both business and client needs.
